In mid-March 2022, the Dr. Stetter ITQ S.L.U. invited a German delegation with responsible professors from the Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences and an ITQ Team from Duisburg to Gran Canaria to exchange innovative ideas concerning SMART & GREEN Projects and develop them further during a work camp. At the work camp, the focus was on setting up a “Green Innovation Lab”, a SMART & GREEN demonstrator project on the island.
Dr. Stetter ITQ’s future vision of transforming Gran Canaria into an innovative demonstrator for sustainable living has so far been successfully implemented through numerous projects. But that is not enough to fully establish the Canary Island as a model project for innovative SMART & GREEN TECHNOLOGIES.
Impressions of the German Delegation and Local Representatives
To this end, the delegation visited various local institutions such as the Instituto technologico de Canarias, the Asociación para el Desarrollo de la Economía Social y Comunitaria, the Plataforma Oceanica de Canarias, the University of Las Palmas and the Sociedad de Promoción Económica.
The work camp offered everyone involved an ideal platform to discover new technologies, make contacts and expand the international network. We hope that this will allow us to realize further future-oriented SMART & GREEN Projects and that our vision, in the sense of sustainable living and economy, will become reality even more quickly.
